The Butterfly Catcher

Like the petals of the Tigerlilly eventually

falling
from
the
sky...

I will bury your fears...as soon as I spot them floating.
I will stand in your open wilderness and wait for you...
to release the butterflies, in the hopes that I am your one and only catcher.
and then, when we grow old, we will watch them dissolve far, far away and into the earth ...to remember them only by the patterns on their wings as they fluttered amongst the cherry blossoms in Kansai.

In the end, we will live amongst pure waters,
remimiscing upon our younger days,a time when we secretly shared our hopes, fears and weaknessness like a bedtime story as we lay awake before our spring slumber.
